All iced over...

Out and about mid-morning I couldn't help myself when it came to taking some pictures of the ice along our stream - with the added refections of the trees it was quite beautiful...

Hi again Miranda :-)

Wow… what beautiful images! Looks so…….. cold! I feel the need to put my central heating and a coat and scarf on now ;-)

Keep warm! Have a good week :-D

Lovely pictures and so icy. Ice pictures are so much colder than snowy ones (lol).
Thanks for visiting my blog by the way.

Icy photographs are wonderful.....I much prefer the structure and form that ice gives....

Miranda- a belated happy new year.

Sorry for the late reply, but i have been away from the computer due to been under the weather.
Water rails are uncommon. But there are spots where you, can expect to find them locally. The one on my list had been showing a lot latley. But i only saw it for 30 seconds.

I also love the patterns in the ice and have never seen a lesser S.W. As they seem to be more in southern england.

Hi St - hope you're feeling better now... there's been lots of horrile flu type things going round the UK recently - we both came back with something ourselves after Christmas in Scotland!

Interesting to hear that the Water Rail isn't so common and even the Lesser Spotted Woodpecker too - although have only seen these birds once so far...

Glad you liked the ice pictures... all ice gone now and it's been extremely wet now and very very windy these last 2 days - what next! Miranda
