Have a special Valentines Day...

Wishing you all a very Happy Valentines Day - traditionally a day where birds are to have thought to have chosen their mate!

With the quantity of little Blue Tits in our garden right now - I reckon a Speed Dating event is needed!!  Have a special day...

Dear Miranda, What a really charming posting. And it is good to be reminded of another aspect of Valentine's Day - the birds choosing a mate.

Thankyou for visiting Edith - I just wanted to do something simple for Valentines - I thought this would make a change from the traditional card for my hubby this year - just made out of a single hazel branch! Bon weekend - Miranda

How delightful - I didnt know that it was traditionally the days when birds chose their mate - I really like that thought.

Like your blue tits - our sparrows - of which we have 100's must also be speed dating.

Hi Karen - hope you've had a good weekend - thanks for your lovely comments - hope the sparrows have been busy finding mates!

Do you know if there is a major problem with Blotanical as it's been unavailable since yesterday and I still can't get on the site?

Have a good weekend - Miranda x

Hi Gail - thanks for popping over - I reckon that there won't be many gardening lovers who don't like chocolate!!! Nothing like a treat with a nice cup of coffee when you're out working in the garden - you somehow feel like you can justify the calories :-)) Miranda x

Miranda, around here, it is the goldfinch which would have to do the speed dating. With the latest round of rain and cold, they have really descended on our feeders. Right now they are about the only color in the garden.
Hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day.

Hi Jan- thanks for your kind comments - the Goldfinches aren't half greedy when it comes to gobbling up all the seed.... we now have a regular pair that visit the garden and I think stay on the seed feeder from morning till night... perhaps they're just hungry!? Their colours are beautiful... hope you too had a lovely Valentines Day - my hubby had been away all week in the UK so it was nice to have him back to share the day with.

As an aside - have you had problems getting on to Blotanical recently? I can't access the site at all and wonderered if anyone knew? Take care Miranda x
