Great Tit finds home in Ashtray!

This was the headline that caught my eye whilst trawling the BBC news site for the latest... highly amusing!

Hi there Miranda :-)

Funnily enough I saw this only yesterday! I took a second look as I walked in the door - it is right beside the entrance!

I spotted the great tit first flying nearby but I didn't see it go in the gap :-D

Hi Miranda....they use the strangest places, don't they.

We have blue tits nesting in the old hand pump of our water feature. It all needs cleaning, so will have to wait until the young have all fledged.

Robins are also nesting in the letter box along the lane......there is a notice on that to.

Hope the weather is sunny and a good weekend is had by you and your family...

Hi Cheryl - a bit late in the day but never too late for posting! Thanks for visiting - I've been glued to the Spring Watch webcam on and off today wondering if the Great Tits will fledge - so far they haven't but I reckon tomorrow could be the day... it's been really interesting! Whilst working in the garden today the place has been swarming with long tailed tits - they are just so gorgeous!
